I smashed it down with love
this membrane between our souls
while you were weighing options
now your ointments lube my joints
ease my thinking into dancing
my kissing into a language…
I was at this same crossroad once
another century another countenance
something ephemeral irritates me, I hope
perhaps to rouse enough from all reverie
into waking to decipher your need

“….ease my thinking into dancing”….. beautiful lines….
thanks kindly 🙂
I too love the “ease my thinking into dancing” line, alongside the concept of easing “kissing into a language” – so beautiful! Also the concept of waking to decipher another’s need… selfless sort of concept. Lovely.
Thanks very much, Lia.
Beautiful ❤️
thanks so much, Isla… I am happy you liked it. 🙂
Sigh… lovely, some really lovely lines 🙂💜
very appreciated, Bree (especially the sigh 🙂 )
Wow! Where was I that I missed this adorable piece!
Maybe you were stenuously writing. 🙂 That’s the good thing about the web. Things from years back can re-present easily. Thanks, Steph! You reminded me of it too, as I had forgotten.
You’re an amazingly talented writer and I see that time hasn’t eroded your ability. Lucky you!
awww, pshaw. 🙂 sending you waves of virtual dark chocolate, preferably with dried orange peels inside… anyway — doesn’t time increase our skills?
dark chocolate – yum! never tried it with orange peels…interesting! Usually i have it w/ cherries, nuts or bananas. — time can erase our creativity and skills as our neurons die because its part of aging…and maybe it doesnt happen to everyone, including you?
well, not so far. and your own writing still seems crisp to me as well.
