Whether tears, or bodily ointments presaging love spasms, or the subconscious life force wanting within saliva, the secretions of organic fluids “out of nothing” accompanying emotion is a deeply veiled mystery… Earth sublimating into Water.
now the moon so coyly darkens
let all things natural be dissipated
while spirit laws lay hold their claim
and nightfall seals our senses
cannot my wanting’s mere ferocity
summon what shapes her form beside me
cannot stray gusts of her lucid exhale
be carried secret to my sleeping aura
let me read deep, and slow, and long
that golden book of her unhurried glands
let me capsize within her abyss
far far removed from any shoreline
or dawn

It’s lovely. But as the token male in my writing group would say, what does it mean?
π That is definitely worthy of a chuckle. Thanks for the compliment.
Now, about this token writing circle male who is on the verge of being inquisitive, I would advise something like this: “Dear Sir, Without wishing to devolve poetic inquiry into anything too blandly analytical, I can say for certain that there is a main theme for this piece as well as two or so non-trivial supporting themes. I would re-read. If you can then formulate a more concrete question or line of inquiry I would hazard that a worthy conversation could be had. But in case not, then I think you should merely focus upon the lovliness which you have already graciously perceived. Warmest wishes! -author”.
Beautiful lines! ππ
