Long enough now I’ve lived
To know that apple trees are miracles
Even the wild untasty ones
Dotting edges of woodsy fields
Where children run and play
And vocalize their delight
So many tiny yellow spheres to toss

Apple trees are indeed miracles.
The man they called Johnny Appleseed did a great thing in walking across America planting apple seeds so that apple trees might grow.

🙏 Thanks as always DvH. What a great concept! Wonder of he ever made it up to Quebec. Two gnarly fruiting wild ones right outside my window.

There is historical record of Johnny Appleseed making it to Ontario but he could have made it to Quebec as well.
Perhaps those two gnarly fruiting wild trees outside your window originally arose from apple seeds planted by him.
