I’m wondering what use my approval would have been?
Ah well, I was 20. Was writing a bit, but pretty much my audience was myself. Things I wrote then felt private and exploratory, and I had uncertainty about the clarity of some ideas and feelings. If an appealing young lady would have seen this verse and declared it beautiful, it would have provided me with emotional vitamins for like 6 months. 🙂
