Open Your Robe

“There are three classes of people: those who see, those who can see once shown, and those who do not see.” – Leonardo Da Vinci

does she almost pierce the blue of sky
when looking intensely a very long time
and succeeding to vanish all thoughts
perfectly cloudless,
will the color of Mary’s robes dissolve
till she perceives instead only pure devotion

I love best her exacting skepticism
all the while peering, driven by trueness
her openness to love become a watchful sagely organ

  1. Some poems have that power to dissolve everything into the web of light in an instant, igniting the molecules of the body with the weightless power of pure existence… for me this is one such poem. Beautiful with the image!!
