At rare moments, perfectly quiet insight replaces the proud swirling of thoughts…
Watching these tainted shades of red
Contesting the world as you know it
A dim meditation supplants the sensory
Thou receding sun – a testimony
To life’s true core of morality.

Dear Robert,
As the beautiful sunset highlights the sky with a profusion of “tainted shades of red”, I would like to resonate and complement the spirit and poignancy of “What The Setting Sun Tells” with my musical composition entitled “The Sunset Lingers On”:
Let us savour the enchanting music as we witness a new horizon and journey towards a lingering sunset just as the treasured essences of Mother Earth bid us an evening farewell during the twilight hours, “[c]ontesting the world as you know it … [with] a testimony [t]o life’s true core of morality.”
Thank you for your excellent poem. I hope that you like my musical composition entitled “The Sunset Lingers On” and how it complements your post entitled “What The Setting Sun Tells”. Happy May to you!
Yours sincerely,

Wow, S.E. very nice! I especially like the theme which begins around 0:27, particularly the first half-minute of it or so. Sounds a little bit like a sampled french horn. Evocative. But the whole thing is nice. Merci.
A very beautiful picture and poem.
kind thanks.
